Announcement

Welcome to Urgyen Sanghrakshita International School Admission Open.

Born on October 1, 1944, in the peaceful village of Vadgaon along the Wardha River, Janardan Govindrao Kawle began his teaching career in 1964. In 1995, guided by a deep sense of social purpose, he took voluntary retirement to devote himself fully to the cause of education and community upliftment.

As the visionary founder of our institution, his dedication laid the foundation for a legacy that continues to inspire generations. With his wife Hira Rakshit by his side, he pioneered several transformative initiatives, including:

  • Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Credit Co-operative Society (1983)

  • Nagsen Dnyan Prasarak Mandal (1984)

  • Anand Prathamik Marathi Shala

  • Anand Madhyamik Vidyalaya

  • Urgyen Sangharakshita International School.

Deeply inspired by the teachings of Bhante Urgyen Sangharakshita, he embraced Buddha Dhamma and adopted the name Rakshit in 1991. Despite limited formal education, his travels across the world enriched his vision and spirit.

On May 1, 2021, at 11:50 PM, he passed away peacefully — leaving behind a life lived in service, and a luminous legacy of selflessness and wisdom.

“To live without shadow, to walk without support” — may we forever honor and nurture the light he ignited.
